Treat Yo' Self!: Why I'm Teaching at Craftcation 2026

Next spring, I’m heading to California to teach at Craftcation 2026: The Conference for Creatives — and I couldn’t be more excited to share this news with you!

For years, I’ve watched this event from afar, quietly thinking one day I’ll go. This year, I finally decided to treat myself and make it happen. Then, when I saw they were looking for presenters, I took a chance and applied. Now, I get to join an incredible lineup of makers, artists, and small-business owners for four days of learning, connection, and creativity in beautiful Ventura, CA, April 8-12, 2026.

What I’ll Be Teaching

I’ll be leading a hands-on workshop called "Everyday Joy: A Mini Book Workshop."  We’ll celebrate the small, meaningful moments that make up our everyday lives. Using my Pages in Progress™ creative journaling prompt cards, you’ll create a folded mini book guided by theme, story, and technique to help you spark ideas and break through blank-page overwhelm. Then we’ll decorate with stickers, patterned paper, and washi tape to bring your stories to life.

It’s an approachable, creative experience designed to help you reconnect with your stories and rediscover the joy of making something with your hands.

Craftcation = Conference + Community

Craftcation has always stood out to me as more than just a conference.  It’s a community where creativity, self-care, and connection come together. Whether you’re a maker, a small-business owner, or simply craving time to recharge and create, this event feels like the perfect space to invest in yourself.
